Farmers harvesting tea in long green rows

The way of the leaf

Shaded, steamed, rolled — and then left alone.

We work with eleven family gardens. Most still shade their bushes with straw and pick by hand in the first weeks of May. We buy what they are proud of, pay before harvest, and never blend away a garden's name.

Meet the growers

Kind words

From the tea table

“The Yame gyokuro tastes like the ocean in the best way. I brew it on Sunday mornings and nobody is allowed to talk.”

— Hana T., Melbourne

“My raku chawan arrived wrapped like a gift from a grandmother. The glaze is even better in person.”

— Oliver P., Bristol

“Switched my afternoon coffee for the Kyoto hojicha. Same comfort, half the jitters, much better sleep.”

— Marisol R., Austin
